The Scientific Way to Cut a Cake

No party without a cake. But apparently, we always cut the cake wrong. We automatically cut small (or extra large) triangles. According to mathematician Alex Bellos, this is not the most efficient way.

 

The British mathematician Alex Bellos found an alternative approach to cutting cake in a scientific magazine over a hundred years old. This method also allows the cake to stay fresh longer.
