A concert hall is a space for the performance of music, from classical music to pop music and all other genres. Concert halls often house both large halls and smaller halls for more intimate performances where direct contact with the musicians is possible. Many concert halls also have foyers. These spaces are ideal for organising a reception, lunch, or walking dinner and you can provide enough space for your sponsors.
What should you pay attention to when you are looking for a concert hall to organise a concert professionally?
Checking the maximum capacity (seating and/or standing) is always a good idea when planning your concert or event. The acoustics of the hall are also important during a concert. A classical concert hall needs different acoustic properties than a pop stage. Be sure to get advice from the operators of the room of your choice. During a site visit, also check whether there are good sightlines throughout the room. Also check the technical facilities. Are all facilities for light, sound, and projection present? Is it possible to make recordings? You may have that knowledge in-house, but be sure to sit down with the concert hall staff as well: their technical know-how is invaluable.
