Operational Director at The Event Family

As Operations Director, you are ultimately responsible for the day-to-day business operations within The Event Family's Operations. Under your responsibility fall approximately 40 permanent employees and around 35 on-call workers. During the high season, this is supplemented by a flexible workforce that can increase to about 150 agency workers and freelancers.

As Operations Director, you are ultimately responsible for the day-to-day business operations within The Event Family's Operations. Under your responsibility fall approximately 40 permanent employees and around 35 on-call workers. During the high season, this is supplemented by a flexible workforce that can increase to approximately 150 agency workers and freelancers.

You directly manage our operational departments and managers, helping them lead their teams independently and effectively. You are visibly involved, know what is going on, and ensure clear responsibilities, good collaboration, and attention to our people.

In this regard, your focus lies on

• Coaching and developing operational managers and employees
• Clear roles, responsibilities, and agreements
• Adjust when performance, behavior, or agreements require it
• Monitoring collaboration, atmosphere, and culture within the operational teams
• Together with People, we ensure the right people are in the right place, from recruitment and selection to development and career advancement.
• Be involved in personnel discussions and decisions and ensure that our heroes receive the attention and guidance they need.

Profile

We are looking for a people-oriented and strong leader. Someone who knows their people, is aware of what is going on, is approachable, listens well, and knows how to bring people along. But also someone who dares to rise above it all, makes clear decisions, and holds people accountable when necessary.

You assign responsibilities to the right people, dare to let go, and ensure proper follow-up. You make clear agreements, monitor that they are adhered to, and honor your own commitments. A deal is a deal.

You are calm and structured, set the right priorities, and keep an eye on the bigger picture. You see opportunities where others see problems and enjoy thinking along about how things *can* be done. You get people on board with changes and ensure that plans are actually executed.

You also stand firm within the Management Team. You express your opinion, ask questions, and dare to voice a different view—even towards the Managing Director. Not to be right, but to reach the best decision together.
