Capitole Ghent is without doubt one of the most beautiful art deco theaters in the country.

The facade with its triangular pediment and neoclassical colonnade dates from 1850, after Belgian independence. In 1932 Geo Hendrickx built a cinema hall behind this existing facade. After the renewed Capitole opened its doors in 2001, the old hall was expanded with a larger stage and a backstage under the stage. In the following years, additional VIP areas and bars were added. In 2008, a theater tower was built with 48 computer-controlled features and additional rehearsal rooms were added. In 2009 the stage was renewed and an acoustic orchestra pit was installed under the stage for an orchestra of up to 64 people.

Capitole Gent is a unique location for your events, meetings or conferences. In addition to a spacious auditorium with 1600 seats and a large stage, the building also houses several large breakout rooms, bars and a fully finished attic space. Ideal for small meetings and seminars.

Capitole Ghent is located on the easily accessible Ghent South, near the historic city center.

In the large theater hall, which still radiates the atmosphere of the former Art Deco cinema from the 1930s, but is equipped with the latest technical theater gadgets and an impressive theater tower, we would like to welcome you and your customers in our new VIP-boxes, VIP- bars, the restaurant, our attractive attic room and our annex.
