Guests will soon enter an impressive national monument, which looks the same from the outside as it did when it was built in 1904. Inside the plenary room, the high ceiling and large arched windows provide plenty of daylight. This room can accommodate groups of up to 350 people. In addition, there is plenty of room for break-out sessions in the former barracks of the barracks.

Location with a story

Not only the barracks got a second life, the monumental building is decorated with a characterful warm-industrial interior of mainly recycled materials. A good example are the sea containers that for many years were the decor of a Rotterdam pop-up restaurant and are now eye-catchers in the conference hall. Now we introduce you to the farmers behind our menu in the containers.

Vibrant, sustainable environment

The Maurits barracks are located in a special environment. The area around the barracks will transform into the World Food Center in the short term. A vibrant city district with homes, food companies, research institutions and an Experience in the field of food. The World Food Center tries to raise awareness about healthy and sustainable food and to bring initiatives together.

Food experience with local regional products

The Maurits barracks are also happy to contribute to this important initiative, by offering local food makers a permanent, prominent place. Event visitors get to know their story there. The Mauritskazerne collaborates with regional farmers such as Remeker Kaas (Organic cheese farm in Lunteren), Ecofields (Organic veal farm and vineyard in Wekerom) and Millgreens (Grower of sprouts and cresses from Barneveld). So what you eat and drink has not traveled the world and is made with respect for nature. Very sustainable.

Station location with parking

The Mauritskazerne is located in Ede, centrally in the Netherlands. The barracks are also easily accessible by car, a 2-minute walk from the Ede-Wageningen intercity station. You can be there from the A12 motorway within 10 minutes. You can park in a large parking lot near the barracks.

Slogan: Een monumentale locatie met Nederlands mooiste natuurgebied als achtertuin. Dat is de Mauritskazerne in Ede. Jij kunt hier nu in alle stijl jouw gasten ontvangen.

Jouw evenement in de Mauritskazerne

De gasten stappen straks binnen in een indrukwekkend rijksmonument, dat er van buiten nog net zo uitziet als toen het in 1904 gebouwd werd. Binnen in de plenaire zaal zorgt het hoge plafond en de grote boogramen voor veel daglicht. Deze zaal biedt plaats aan groepen tot 350 personen. Daarnaast is er volop ruimte voor break-outsessies in de voormalige barakken van de kazerne.

Locatie met een verhaal

Niet alleen de kazerne kreeg een tweede leven, het monumentale pand is ingericht met een karaktervol warm- industrieel interieur van voornamelijk hergebruikte materialen. Een mooi voorbeeld zijn de zeecontainers die jarenlang het decor van een Rotterdams pop-up restaurant waren en nu als eyecatchers in de congreshal staan. Nu laten we je in de containers kennismaken met de boeren achter onze menukaart.

Bruisende, duurzame omgeving

De Mauritskazerne is gevestigd in een bijzondere omgeving. Het gebied rondom de kazerne transformeert op korte termijn tot het World Food Center. Een bruisende stadswijk met woningen, foodbedrijven, onderzoeksinstellingen en een Experience op het gebied van voedsel. Het World Food Center probeert het bewustzijn rondom gezonde en duurzame voeding te vergroten en initiatieven bij elkaar te brengen.

Foodbeleving met lokale streekproducten

Ook de Mauritskazerne draagt graag bij aan dit belangrijke initiatief, door lokale voedselmakers een vaste, prominente plek te bieden. De evenementenbezoekers maken daar kennis met hun verhaal. De Mauritskazerne werkt onder meer samen met regioboeren als Remeker Kaas (Biologische kaasboerderij in Lunteren), Ecofields (Biologische kalverhouderij en wijngaard in Wekerom) en Millgreens (Kweker van kiemen en cressen uit Barneveld). Wat je eet en drinkt heeft dus geen wereldreis afgelegd en is gemaakt met respect voor de natuur. Wel zo duurzaam.

Stationslocatie met parkeergelegenheid

De Mauritskazerne ligt in Ede, centraal in Nederland. Op 2 minuten lopen van het intercitystation Ede-Wageningen, maar ook met de auto is de kazerne goed te bereiken. Je bent er vanaf de snelweg A12 binnen 10 minuten. Parkeren kan op een groot parkeerterrein vlakbij de kazerne.
