Hi, I'm Latifah, the founder of Events by Latifah!

I've always been the person who notices the little things, remembers the details others might overlook, and makes sure everything is running smoothly and everyone is taken care of. Whether in my professional or personal life, planning, organising and bringing people together have always come naturally to me.

I spent a significant part of my professional career in hospitality, working across Food & Beverage, Banqueting and Human Resources in 3, 4 and 5-star hotels. Combined with my Bachelor's (Honours) degree in Hospitality Management, which included Event Management, this has given me a well-rounded understanding of what goes into creating and delivering successful events.

And it's not just theory! Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to plan, lead, coordinate and support a wide variety of events. From independently organising staff celebrations and managing budgets, suppliers, entertainment and event logistics, to assisting with large wedding banquets, coordinating schedules, arranging transport and overseeing event setups, I've experienced both the planning behind the scenes and the practicalities of bringing it all together.

Alongside my hospitality background, I've also established and managed other business ventures, further strengthening my organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

Outside of work, I've always been the go-to planner among friends and family. Whether it's a birthday, a trip or an intimate gathering, I'm usually the one bringing the ideas together and making sure no detail is forgotten.

So, after years of doing what I love in both my professional and personal life, I decided it was time to take that experience and bring my own personal touch to other people's special occasions. And that's how Events by Latifah came to life!

My approach is simple: your event, your vision, and as much or as little support as you need.

I don't believe event planning should be an all-or-nothing service. You might need someone to take care of everything from start to finish, or perhaps you've already organised most of your event and just need a helping hand with the finishing touches. Maybe you have a vision but no idea where to begin. That's absolutely fine, too!

I'm here to work with you, not fit your event into a predetermined package. From venue and supplier sourcing to budgeting, creative planning and coordinating all the moving parts, we'll identify exactly what you need and build a plan around it.

And if you're not quite sure what you need yet, that's what our initial consultation is for. We'll talk through your ideas, explore your options and figure out the best way to bring your event to life.
