Trust the organizers & room owners
Owners, organizers, agencies and their customers need to take control of events and how to organize them. Our sector has been in 'lock down' for 18 months and has still not had the opportunity to restart economically profitable. 3000 companies and 80,000 people are asking to get started.
We call on the authorities not to judge events on their type or number of visitors, but on the environment (indoor/outdoor) and on the capacity of that environment (often imposed by fire service standards).
The event sector has to get off the penalty bench, the vaccination rate has been reached
The pandemic is not over, but the event sector has to get off the bench. Our sector has invested heavily in co-developing systems that work, CIRM, CERM, and CST. Our sector was involved in the large-scale vaccination campaign with advice and action. The willingness to vaccinate was enormous throughout the general population. The same population wants to go to the (several) moved wedding party, the roadshow, the dance party, and that is now possible in safe conditions.

We propose the following plan:
INDOOR
We ask that no restrictions are imposed on locations smaller than 200 people. Halls with an approved capacity above 200 should be allowed to voluntarily open at full capacity using the CST, if an organizer chooses to use CIRM & CERM this should also be allowed until the end of September. We can agree to require the CST for indoor events with more than 1500 visitors and at full capacity throughout September.
OUTDOOR
We ask not to impose any restrictions for gatherings smaller than 400 people (also in tents with 2 sides open). Outdoor events from 400 to 5000 people must have the choice of CST (whereby visitors do not have to keep a distance or wear mouth masks) or CIRM/CERM. We understand that outdoor events with more than 5000 visitors still have to apply the CST in September.
End of September = End of CST, CIRM & CERM
After the end of September, CST, CIRM and CERM must be a thing of the past. The social relevance of these restrictions is then outdated. From then on, the government must focus on communication to target groups that have not been vaccinated.
Ventilation
Event Confederation wants to actively develop a framework and collect data on ventilation together with the corona commissioner, federal and regional policy and specialized research bodies. We commit ourselves to actively participate in this, to collect data. Conclusions must be drawn from this study about ventilation that we can apply in general public life, in public buildings, schools and of course also event & cultural locations. The authorities must allocate the necessary budgets for the research as well as for the implementation of these results.

Vertrouw de organisatoren & zaaleigenaars
Eigenaren, organisatoren, agentschappen en hun klanten moeten zelf de controle krijgen over events en hoe deze te organiseren. Onze sector zit gedurende 18 maanden in ‘lock down’ en heeft nog steeds niet de mogelijkheid gehad om economisch rendabel terug op te starten. 3000 bedrijven en 80.000 mensen zijn vragende partij om aan de slag te gaan.
Wij roepen de overheden op om events niet te beoordelen op hun type of aantal bezoekers maar op de omgeving (indoor/outdoor) en op de capaciteit van die omgeving (vaak opgelegd door de brandweernormen).
De eventsector moet van het strafbankje, de vaccinatiegraad is bereikt
De pandemie is niet voorbij, maar de eventsector moet van het strafbankje. Onze sector heeft hard ingezet op het mee ontwikkelen van systemen die werken, CIRM, CERM, en CST. Onze sector was betrokken bij de grootscheepse vaccinatiecampagne met raad en daad. De vaccinatiebereidheid was gigantisch doorheen de brede bevolking. Diezelfde bevolking wil naar het (meermaals) verplaatste trouwfeest, de roadshow, het dansfeest, en dat kan vanaf nu in veilige omstandigheden.

Wij stellen volgende plan voor :
INDOOR
Wij vragen om voor locaties kleiner dan 200 personen geen restricties meer op te leggen. Zalen met een goedgekeurde capaciteit boven de 200 moeten de mogelijkheid krijgen om vrijwillig op hun volle capaciteit te kunnen openen mits gebruik te maken van het CST, indien een organisator ervoor kiest om CIRM & CERM toe te passen moet dit ook toegestaan tot eind september. Wij kunnen ons akkoord verklaren om voor indoor-events met meer dan 1500 bezoekers en op volle capaciteit doorheen september het CST te verplichten.
OUTDOOR
Wij vragen om geen restricties op te leggen voor samenkomsten kleiner dan 400 personen (ook in tenten met 2 zijden open). Outdoor events van 400 tot 5000 man moeten de keuze hebben voor CST (waarbij de bezoekers dan geen afstand moeten houden of mondmaskers moeten dragen) of CIRM/CERM. Wij begrijpen dat outdoor events met meer dan 5000 bezoekers in september nog het CST verplicht moeten toepassen.
Eind september = einde van CST, CIRM & CERM
Zowel CST, CIRM als CERM moeten - na eind september - definitief tot het verleden behoren. De maatschappelijke relevantie van deze restricties is dan achterhaald. De overheid moet vanaf dan inzetten op communicatie naar doelgroepen dewelke niet gevaccineerd zijn.
Ventilatie
Event Confederation wil actief samen met het coronacommissariaat, het federale en regionale beleid en gespecialiseerde onderzoek organen een kader opstellen en data over ventilatie verzamelen. Wij engageren ons om hier actief aan mee te werken, data te verzamelen. Uit deze studie moeten conclusies getrokken worden rond ventilatie die we kunnen toepassen in het algemene publieke leven, in openbare gebouwen, scholen en natuurlijk ook event- & cultuurlocaties. De overheden moet de nodige budgetten vrijmaken voor het onderzoek alsook voor de implementatie van deze resultaten.
