This theater in the heart of Antwerp has a history that appeals to the imagination. The theater was built in 1957 and was a progressive hall for that time and a real cultural temple for Antwerp.

In 2002, the operation came into the hands of Studio 100, which thoroughly renovated the room. Since 2008, the hall became the home of De Komedie Compagnie. At the end of 2013, this theater was opened for external rental to producers, companies, event offices, etc.

The slogan "experience it together" describes perfectly what this theater stands for. Chosen at a time when experiencing this together has become so important.

The pleasant and modern 800-seat theater was recently renovated and radiates the nostalgic atmosphere of a theater with tradition.

In 2016 this theater became a cozy and pleasant City Theater with tradition and a nostalgic character. We are also proud to bring so many nice people together through culture in the heart of Antwerp. 'Experience it together', enjoy the large and small performances together as an audience, cherish, discover and experience wonderful theater pearls together. Sing, laugh, shout 'bis' together and drink a (last) last pint together in the renovated foyer. We always want to experience something together and carry it outside.
