Hemsted Park

Hemsted Park offers event organisers a choice of performance and event spaces within the grounds of Benenden School in the Kent countryside. The site combines the setting of a historic estate with purpose-built facilities, making it suitable for performances as well as selected business and community gatherings.

The principal space is Centenary Hall, a modern, flexible venue with retractable seating and acoustics designed for live performance. Its capacity varies by layout, reaching around 700 guests. The Centenary Buildings also include an atrium with a bar and a smaller recital hall. For more intimate productions, meetings or presentations, the Benenden Theatre provides a separate auditorium for nearly 300 people, with adaptable staging and technical sound and lighting facilities. Hemsted Park also has a smaller studio theatre and outdoor areas within its parkland.

Organisers can enquire about hiring spaces for meetings, conferences, training courses, visiting school events and other corporate opportunities. The venue also welcomes film and television productions. Depending on the event, bespoke catering, audiovisual services and accommodation may be available, so planners can discuss the practical arrangements as part of an enquiry. On-site parking is available, including accessible spaces, and the grounds offer a distinctive rural setting within reach of nearby Staplehurst station.

Alongside private and commercial hires, Hemsted Park presents a public programme of music, theatre, comedy and dance. Its halls are used for professional performances and community events, supported by a dedicated box office and event team. Organisers considering the venue can contact Hemsted Park to discuss the appropriate space, event format and available services.
