De Zeeland is a historic sailing charter vessel that serves as an event venue on the water. Organisers can book the ship for a party, business gathering or cruise with colleagues, clients, family and friends. The ship is also a special choice for a wedding: De Zeeland is an official wedding venue, where the ceremony and reception can take place on board.
Several spaces are available inside. The salon can host dinners, meetings and presentations, while the Captain’s Cabin is furnished as an English pub with a maritime atmosphere. Between these spaces is a covered outdoor area, which can also be used when the weather is less favourable. Together, the spaces can accommodate up to 125 guests. The salon has 60 seats.
The plans for a day or evening are tailored to the group and the programme. Options include a cruise of a chosen duration and from a chosen departure point, complemented by catering and entertainment. Food and drink options include a buffet, walking dinner, afternoon tea or wine tasting. Audio-visual facilities are available for presentations and meetings. Staff parties, anniversaries and corporate outings are also possible.
The ship has been adapted to be accessible to guests with disabilities. Wide gangways, adapted facilities and lifts make it easier to move around on board. De Zeeland is managed by Stichting De Zeeland. The proceeds from commercial cruises help the foundation organise cruises for young people and adults with disabilities.
