Alma Center

Alma Center is a flexible event venue in Providence, housed in the restored former Bomes Theatre. Its approximately 6,500 square feet of cultural space can be arranged for a wide range of occasions, including weddings, birthday parties, showers, fundraisers, company celebrations and live performances. Movable seating allows organisers to adapt the room to suit their programme, with space for more than 250 seated guests and a stated overall capacity of up to 900.

The venue combines historic character with facilities for contemporary events. Organisers can make use of a stage, professional sound system, lighting, a DJ set-up and an LED video wall with HDMI compatibility. In-house catering and a full bar are available, with customisable drinks packages that include alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices. House staff can also be arranged, including bartenders, a sound technician and a day-of coordinator.

Alma Center is wheelchair accessible and offers private parking, with valet service available by request. Its location on Broad Street in south Providence is close to I-95, making it accessible for local guests and visitors travelling from further afield. The venue is available to rent for private celebrations, business functions and cultural events. Event planners can ask about dates, room arrangements, staffing and available options when enquiring, then shape the space and facilities around the needs of their gathering.
