Surgeons Quarter

Surgeons Quarter offers event planners a collection of distinctive venues in central Edinburgh, within the campus of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Its range of spaces brings together historic rooms and more contemporary facilities, giving organisers options for events of different sizes and styles.

The venues host conferences, meetings, training sessions, lectures, exhibitions, gala dinners, private celebrations and weddings. Smaller rooms suit board meetings and workshops, while larger halls and auditoriums can accommodate conferences and receptions. Some rooms include modern audiovisual equipment, and the team can advise on room layouts and suitable facilities for each event. The wider campus can also be used to support larger conferences in partnership with nearby venues.

Wedding services include dedicated coordination, ceremony and reception spaces, catering, drinks and accommodation options for couples and guests at the on-site Ten Hill Place Hotel. For other occasions, event coordinators can help organisers plan catering, flowers, entertainment and technical production. The campus also offers accessible meeting spaces, with a mix of architectural character, private gardens and city-centre convenience.

With several buildings close together, Surgeons Quarter can provide a single location for different parts of an event, from meetings and breakout sessions to dinners and celebrations. Organisers can discuss their requirements with the events team, which can help identify a suitable space and explain available services and costs.
