Dora Queen

Dora Queen offers event planners a distinctive venue on the water, aboard an 80-foot New Orleans-style paddlewheel boat docked at Tavares Marina in Tavares, Florida. Set on Lake Dora, the boat provides a memorable setting for private celebrations and business gatherings, with lake scenery as part of the experience.

Private events can be booked for groups of up to 70 guests. The venue welcomes a range of occasions, including weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, family reunions, bridal and baby showers, rehearsal dinners and celebrations of life. Organisers can also enquire about office events, team-building outings, civic groups and other special gatherings. The boat's two levels offer guests room to relax and take in the views, with lounge-style seating, music and a full-service bar on board.

Dora Queen also runs scheduled afternoon and sunset cruises for the public. These provide useful context for planners considering the boat for a private occasion: it is an operating vessel designed for time on the lake, rather than a conventional function room beside the water. Public cruises generally run for two hours, while private event enquiries can be made directly with the business to discuss availability and arrangements.

Located at Tavares Marina, the boat is a convenient option for organisers looking for a waterside venue in the Lake County area. Its setting and paddlewheel character suit events where guests can gather, socialise and enjoy a change of scenery. Contact Dora Queen to enquire about hosting a private event aboard the boat.
