Hildersham Village Hall

Hildersham Village Hall is a community venue available to hire for one-off events and regular activities in Hildersham, near Cambridge. Individuals and groups can enquire about using the hall for private parties, meetings, educational sessions, sports and social gatherings. Whether you are arranging a family celebration or need a local base for a recurring group, bookings can be discussed with the hall's bookings manager.

The building combines a long local history with practical facilities for present-day use. It began life as a surgical ward at Cambridge's First Eastern General Hospital during the First World War, before being brought to Hildersham and opened as a village hall in 1921. Renovations have added a modern fitted kitchen and refurbished toilets, while the hall retains the character of its earlier history.

Its location beside the river, in the centre of the village, gives the venue a rural setting with views over open fields. The recreation ground behind the hall includes an enclosed grassed play area for children, a useful feature for family gatherings. Organisers can contact the bookings manager to discuss their requirements, check availability and ask about charges. Different arrangements are available for regular bookings, with rates depending on when and how often the space is needed. The hall offers a straightforward local option for organisers seeking a welcoming indoor space for community activities and celebrations.
