Crystal Palace Bowl

Crystal Palace Bowl is an open-air event venue in Crystal Palace Park, south London. At its heart is the Concert Platform, a distinctive stage set beside the park's lake and surrounded by the historic landscape. The Bowl has welcomed major musical performances since 1961 and is available to hire for organisers looking for an outdoor setting with a strong sense of place.

The platform can be hired on its own or alongside a selection of rooms nearby. These indoor spaces can suit meetings, training sessions, away days and parties, while the stage provides a setting for performances and larger productions. The Trust invites groups, businesses, charities and individuals to enquire about using the Bowl and Concert Platform.

Crystal Palace Park Trust manages event enquiries and oversees events in the park. Organisers should apply in advance and discuss their plans with the events team, who can explain the application process, charges, documentation and site requirements. Depending on the event, planning may need to cover matters such as power, sound, security, welfare facilities, access, weather, licensing and waste management. The park is an open public space, so organisers should also consider how an event will affect other visitors.

For event planners, the Bowl offers a memorable historic setting for music-led events and other gatherings, with the option to pair its outdoor platform with nearby rooms. The Trust can advise on the spaces available and the practical steps needed to bring an event to the park.
