Greysolon Ballroom by Black Woods

Greysolon Ballroom by Black Woods is a historic event venue in downtown Duluth, offering elegant rooms for weddings, business gatherings and social occasions. Its restored ballroom features chandeliers, decorative ceilings and rich woodwork, giving organisers a distinctive setting for receptions, dinners, conferences and celebrations.

The main ballroom can be arranged for different event formats, including seated dining, theatre-style presentations, a dance floor or a more relaxed cocktail reception. Adjacent spaces provide room for guests to move between parts of an event, and the venue also has a separate bar area. Couples can hold their ceremony and reception at the venue, with wedding packages available for both the ballroom and the more intimate Moorish Room. A bridal suite is included for wedding preparations.

For companies and organisations, Greysolon offers space for meetings, conferences, fundraisers and other special events. The events team works with organisers on room layouts, menus and practical arrangements, including options for multi-day conferences. The venue is connected to the Sheraton Hotel, which can provide convenient accommodation and additional breakout space for conference groups.

Food and service are provided by Black Woods, with menus that can be customised to suit the occasion and guests' needs. Organisers can discuss options with the venue's event professionals, who help shape the arrangements around the size and style of each gathering. From an intimate celebration in the Moorish Room to a large reception or corporate event in the ballroom, Greysolon offers a historic Duluth setting with dedicated event support.
