The Podium Powered by STCU

The Podium Powered by STCU is a large indoor sports and events venue in downtown Spokane, Washington. Its flexible competition floor is designed for organisers bringing together athletes, spectators, teams and event staff for tournaments and championships. Depending on the set-up, the space can accommodate 16 volleyball courts, nine basketball courts or 21 wrestling mats.

A central feature is the six-lane, 200-metre hydraulically banked indoor track, alongside sprint lanes and facilities for field events. The venue also has permanent bleacher seating for around 3,000 spectators, and its wider 135,000-square-foot facility includes areas for concessions, vendors, media and event operations. With multiple layouts available, organisers can plan different kinds of indoor competitions in one location.

The venue's programme also extends beyond sport. The Podium hosts concerts, graduations and other public events, with the competition floor adapted for non-sport uses when appropriate. Its downtown location, beside Riverfront Park and close to Spokane Arena, the convention centre, hotels and restaurants, is useful for events drawing visitors from outside the area. Several paid parking areas are within walking distance, and public transport serves the surrounding district.

The facility is operated by the Spokane Public Facilities District, while Spokane Sports works with event rights-holders and organisers on bringing sports events to Spokane and coordinating bookings at public facilities. The Podium is particularly suited to organisers seeking a substantial indoor venue with specialist track and court infrastructure, spectator seating and the flexibility to host competitions, concerts and community gatherings.
