Sugar Island Barn

Sugar Island Barn is a family-run wedding and event venue on eight acres outside Watertown, Wisconsin. Its restored 1895 barn combines original timber character, high ceilings and string lighting with modern facilities, offering couples and organisers a distinctive setting for celebrations throughout the year. The indoor space covers around 4,000 square feet and can accommodate up to 300 guests. For ceremonies, receptions and photographs, the grounds include open lawns, mature trees and outdoor areas.

Weddings are the venue's main offering, with packages ranging from an eight-hour micro-wedding to a full week of access. Depending on the package, organisers can arrange set-up across several days, rehearse on site, hold a rehearsal dinner and return for a day-after brunch or gift opening. Indoor and outdoor ceremony options are available. Tables and chairs, a sound system, bartenders and event staff are included in the packages, alongside access to the licensed bar. Couples can choose their own caterer, with kitchen facilities available for food preparation.

The venue also welcomes other private and corporate celebrations, including birthdays, graduations, engagement parties, baby showers, retirement gatherings and celebrations of life. Its facilities include climate-controlled restrooms, dressing rooms in selected packages and a lower-level lounge. A bonfire is available, and well-behaved pets are welcome. Sugar Island Barn hosts one wedding per weekend, giving couples more time for preparation and pack-down than a single-day booking typically allows.
