Edison Square

Edison Square is a historic event venue in South Tacoma, set inside a restored building that began life as the Realart Theater in 1919. Its characterful setting is available for weddings, receptions, corporate events, public markets, parties and other celebrations, giving organisers a distinctive backdrop for gatherings of different kinds.

The main floor and mezzanine can accommodate up to 200 guests standing or 120 seated. The layout includes a stage with professional lighting and sound, projection equipment, a screen and wireless microphones. Tables and chairs are available for up to 100 guests, while a bar area, accessible facilities and complimentary parking help support the practical details of an event. A private suite can serve as a wedding preparation space, guest lounge or event operations room. Organisers can also enquire about access to the third-floor suites and patio.

Venue hire includes an on-site attendant and use of the standard event equipment. Optional set-up and tear-down assistance is available, and the team can discuss room layouts during planning visits. Edison Square offers catering and full bar services, while outside catering can be arranged subject to the venue's requirements. Organisers considering a public market, live performance, workshop or community gathering can also submit an event proposal.

With its former-theatre architecture, flexible floor space and event facilities, Edison Square suits planners looking for a distinctive Tacoma location for a private celebration, wedding or public-facing event.
