Haagsche Tafel is a small venue in The Hague for meetings, workshops and other gatherings in a peaceful, homely setting. It is close to the Haagse Bos and offers organisers an alternative to a traditional meeting room. The private room can accommodate groups of up to 12 people and can be arranged in different layouts. There is space for discussions around a table, training sessions or workshops where participants can get actively involved.
In addition to the separate meeting and workshop room, there is an open area with a large communal table. This can be used for informal discussions or lunch together. When the weather is fine, guests can also use the city garden. This makes the venue suitable for gatherings where participants would like to step outside between parts of the programme.
A SmartBoard, flip charts and a whiteboard are available for presentations and working sessions. Organisers can arrange for coffee, tea and water, and add a standard or more luxurious lunch to their gathering. Cake can also be served with coffee or tea. The website lists options for drinks receptions and barbecues to round out a gathering.
The venue can be hired for a half-day or a full day, and arrangements can be made for other times. Haagsche Tafel mainly caters for small business groups, trainers and workshop leaders looking for a private space with facilities for discussion and learning. The venue is accessible by public transport from Den Haag Centraal and Laan van NOI station. Parking is available nearby, with free parking on Laan van NOI from 14:00.
