Freilichtbühne Schwerin

Johannes-Stelling-Straße 10, 19053 Schwerin, Germany

The Schwerin Open-Air Stage is an open-air venue located in the castle gardens, near Schwerin Castle and Lake Schwerin. Organizers can rent the grounds for concerts, shows, and other open-air events. The season typically runs from May to September. The park setting and the distinctive tent roof over the stage provide a unique backdrop for events in Schwerin.

The tiered seating is reminiscent of an amphitheater and allows for various seating and standing room configurations. Depending on the setup, the venue can accommodate approximately 2,500 to 5,000 guests. With a seated arrangement, around 2,600 places are available. The grounds are fenced and have a central entrance and a separate ticket booth. Restrooms are available for approximately 2,000 guests and can be supplemented if needed.

For productions, there is a covered stage with a mobile truss system, power connections up to 350 amps, and facilities for sound, video, and lighting equipment. Backstage, dressing rooms, a catering kitchen, and parking spaces for production teams and tour buses are available. Loading zones facilitate the setup and delivery of event equipment.

The team supports event organizers from initial planning through technical and organizational preparation to the event itself. Upon request, they also assist with marketing and connect participants with potential partners. The open-air stage collaborates with a local catering partner for food and beverages. An in-house ticket service can also assist with ticket sales and management. This makes the venue particularly suitable for organizers planning a large-scale open-air event in a distinctive Schwerin setting.
