The Honeysuckle Tea House

Set on a working farm near Chapel Hill, The Honeysuckle Tea House offers a countryside setting for weddings, private celebrations and corporate gatherings. Its gardens, open-air areas and covered spaces give organisers options for events in different seasons and styles, from a relaxed afternoon tea to an evening reception or company retreat.

The property can host up to 150 guests across its indoor, patio and outdoor areas. Smaller gatherings can use the Upstairs Lounge, which accommodates up to 60 people, or the Downstairs Pavilion, with space for up to 100. Partial rentals are available for more intimate occasions. The venue welcomes wedding ceremonies and receptions, as well as birthdays, anniversaries, showers, family reunions and team events.

Organisers can arrange in-house catering with menus shaped around seasonal produce from the farm and nearby growers. The team also offers bar service featuring tea-inspired drinks, wine, beer, mead and cider. Hosts who prefer to bring in an outside caterer or food truck may do so subject to the venue’s requirements.

For corporate bookings, the farm provides a change of scene for meetings, planning sessions and retreats. Optional experiences such as tea tastings and guided farm tours can add a shared activity to the programme. The venue team works with hosts to discuss event plans, available dates and suitable spaces, and tours are arranged in advance. It is currently focused on private bookings and organised experiences rather than regular public opening.
