Zinc Arts

Zinc Arts offers rooms for hire at the Zinc Centre, a distinctive Victorian building at Great Stony in Ongar, Essex. The venue provides a choice of spaces, including classrooms, conference rooms, creative workspaces and a studio theatre. This variety makes it a practical option for organisers seeking a setting for a meeting, training session, workshop, rehearsal, performance or community gathering.

The building has a strong sense of character, with its history as a former school reflected in the original features and individual room identities. Rather than a conventional hotel or dedicated conference complex, Zinc Centre offers a community-focused environment where organisers can choose a space suited to the format and feel of their event. Its theatre and creative areas may particularly appeal to groups planning arts activities, presentations or smaller performances, while the classrooms and conference rooms can suit more structured sessions.

Zinc Arts is an arts and education charity, and room hire sits alongside its work supporting inclusive creative learning and community programmes. Hiring space here therefore also supports the organisation’s wider charitable activities. The centre is based on High Street in Ongar, with on-site parking and a bus stop close to the building. Organisers can contact the team to discuss which rooms are available and whether the facilities meet the needs of their event. Zinc Arts provides a welcoming local venue for organisations, groups and individuals looking for flexible space in the Ongar area.
