King Center

King Center is a performing arts venue on the Auraria Campus in central Denver, offering distinctive spaces for concerts, theatre productions, lectures, ceremonies, presentations and other organised events. The complex combines professional performance facilities with the character and technical capability expected from an established arts centre.

The venue portfolio includes a 520-seat Concert Hall, a 192-seat Recital Hall and the Eugenia Rawls Courtyard Theatre, which can accommodate up to 150 guests depending on the seating configuration. The Concert Hall is suited to orchestras, choirs, musicals, operas, ceremonial programmes and large presentations, with a generous stage, balcony seating and adaptable acoustic features. The Recital Hall provides a more intimate setting for solo performances, small ensembles, talks, screenings and formal gatherings.

The Courtyard Theatre offers a flexible layout that can be arranged as a thrust theatre, theatre-in-the-round or traditional proscenium stage. This gives organisers scope to shape the audience experience around the format of the programme. Additional facilities include production studios, rehearsal and dressing areas, green room facilities and other operational spaces that support performances and staged events.

External rentals are available during the summer rental season, generally from mid-May through mid-August. Organisers can enquire about the suitability and availability of individual spaces, with venue staff able to discuss practical requirements and applicable policies. The location is close to downtown Denver and benefits from nearby campus parking and public transport connections, making it a practical choice for cultural programmes, corporate presentations, educational events and live performances.
