Clarendon Spaces

Clarendon Centre is a flexible conference and meeting venue in central Brighton, located around five minutes on foot from Brighton Station. Operated through Clarendon Spaces, it provides a range of rooms for organisers planning conferences, training days, workshops, seminars, networking sessions, exhibitions, team meetings and selected ceremonies.

The venue’s largest space is the top-floor Auditorium, which can accommodate up to 750 people in tiered seating or a theatre-style arrangement. It can also be adapted for table-based formats, with floor space available for alternative layouts and technical requirements. For larger conferences and events, the Auditorium can be combined with other rooms throughout the building.

Whitefield offers more than 200 square metres for conferences, classrooms, networking and training, with capacity for up to 200 guests in a theatre layout. The Lounge provides a similarly spacious ground-floor setting for receptions, exhibitions, workshops and breakout activity. Smaller rooms, including Carey, Edwards, Hudson Taylor and Spurgeon, are suited to board meetings, classroom sessions, breakout groups and focused training, with capacities ranging from around 25 to 80 people.

Facilities vary by room and may include projection screens, wall-mounted displays, PA equipment, microphones, flipcharts, free Wi-Fi, heating, air conditioning and kitchenette access. Refreshment options such as drinks, pastries and biscuits are available on request. Dry hire packages and different room layouts allow organisers to shape the booking around their programme, guest numbers and production needs. The venue also offers step-free access in several areas and lift access to the upper floors.
