The Watershed

The Watershed is a creative mill and riverside venue in Slaithwaite, near Huddersfield, offering flexible spaces for organisers planning meetings, workshops, rehearsals, performances, community activities and small-scale events.

The venue brings together three distinctive rooms. The Studio is the largest space, covering approximately 84 square metres and accommodating around 50 to 60 people seated. Its wooden floor, high ceilings, riverside balcony, projector, dimmable lighting, modest theatre lights and small sound system make it suitable for presentations, creative sessions, talks, performances and participatory activities. A nearby compact kitchen can support refreshments, while step-free access, accessible toilets and an audio loop make the room suitable for a broad range of guests.

The Bobbin is a versatile ground-floor room of around 43 square metres for approximately 8 to 15 people. It includes a pull-out bar area, sofas and a practical wipe-clean floor, making it useful for workshops, informal gatherings, small meetings and activities that can be combined with the adjoining Studio. The Carp is a more intimate upstairs meeting and activity room of approximately 23 square metres, also suitable for 8 to 15 people. Blackout blinds and dimmable lighting allow organisers to adapt the atmosphere for presentations, creative work and screen-based sessions.
