Thorley Recital Hall

Thorley Recital Hall is an intimate performance venue within Southern Utah University’s Music Center in Cedar City. With seating for 212 guests, it is particularly well suited to chamber concerts, student and professional recitals, guest-artist appearances, lectures, showcases, masterclasses and other smaller-scale cultural programmes where audience focus and musical detail matter.

The hall forms part of a working university music environment, surrounded by teaching, rehearsal and practice facilities. Non-university users work with the university’s guest-services team on the use agreement, insurance and authorisation process, and a House Manager is required for the duration of an external event. Pianos and selected percussion equipment can also be requested in advance, subject to availability and applicable conditions.
