With its phenomenal stage and unparalleled sightlines, SWX offers a truly perfect setting for large scale events, live music, television recordings, private parties and sporting events. Formerly an ABC and Top Rank Ballroom in the 1960s, the room is framed by 2 bars and also features a beautiful original sprung wooden dance floor. 2 separate rooms can be hired for events, Stage One and SWX2. SWX2 (with a capacity of 250) has its own separate sound system & bar and can operate either as an extension of the main space, as a secondary event space or even as a VIP area. SWX boasts a capacity of 1100 for live concerts and 1800 for receptions and club events. A technical manager is also available to help planning any event to ensure events run as smooth as possible. TA full front of house team (security, box office, cloakroom, bar staff, floor staff, sound and light technicians and duty managers) is part of the hire package. The venue is licensed until 4am, Monday-Sunday.
