The event sector comes to the rescue of education, cities and companies with temporary mobile washbasins
Eight event agencies have joined forces from the Expert Center Event Marketing of ACC Belgium (the trade association of communication and event agencies) to offer an efficient and low-cost solution for washing hands with respect for social distancing. The offices developed safe and temporary washbasins that are now placed in various schools, cities, companies and on construction sites. Schools, cities and businesses must make their entire infrastructure as safe as possible in no time to contain the risk of contamination from Covid-19. This includes a whole series of safety regulations and conditions for which there are not the necessary means as standard. The event industry took action and developed the Box Wash ™ ® to meet those safety regulations. The Box Wash ™ ® is a mobile washbasin with four water points. Four people can wash their hands with running water at the same time from a safe distance. The units can be used both indoors and outdoors in any environment such as parks, schools, companies and squares. The mobile and compact package is easy to assemble and can be set up and connected in less than five minutes. “Since the start of the corona crisis, all events have come to a standstill and our sector has immediately stepped in to provide hospitals and pharmacies with adapted infrastructure, signage and equipment. We have the know-how and resources to provide targeted solutions for the most demanding settings and environments in a very short time. It is a logical consequence that we now also use our experience and manpower to make schools, cities and companies accessible again, ”says Mathias Kerckhof of Fast Forward . The agencies are thus once again sending a strong signal that the events sector wants to get out of this crisis while working. Over a hundred Box Wash ™ ® units will be installed in the coming days in various schools in Lommel, Hoboken and Antwerp, among others. Also in coastal municipalities, which are gradually preparing for the return of second-time residents, the washbasins will be in public places. Acht eventbureaus hebben vanuit het Expert Center Event Marketing van ACC Belgium (de vakvereniging van communicatie- en eventbureaus) de handen in elkaar geslagen om een efficiënte en lowcost oplossing aan te bieden voor het wassen van handen met respect voor social distancing. De bureaus ontwikkelden veilige en tijdelijke wasbakken die nu in verschillende scholen, steden, bedrijven en op werven worden geplaatst.
Scholen, steden en bedrijven moeten in een mum van tijd hun hele infrastructuur zo veilig mogelijk maken om het besmettingsgevaar van Covid-19 in te dijken. Daarbij horen een hele reeks veiligheidsvoorschriften en voorwaarden waar standaard niet de nodige middelen voor zijn. De eventsector schoot daarbij in actie en ontwikkelde de Box Wash™® om aan die veiligheidsvoorschriften te voldoen.
De Box Wash™® is een mobiele wasbak met vier waterpunten. Vier personen kunnen tegelijkertijd vanop een veilige afstand de handen wassen met stromend water. De units zijn zowel binnen als buiten inzetbaar in gelijk welke omgeving zoals parken, scholen, bedrijven en pleinen. Het mobiele en compacte pakket is eenvoudig in elkaar te steken en kan in minder dan vijf minuten opgebouwd en aangesloten worden.
“Sinds de start van de coronacrisis liggen alle evenementen stil en is onze sector meteen bijgesprongen om ziekenhuizen en apotheken te voorzien van aangepaste infrastructuur, signalisatie en materiaal. Wij hebben de knowhow en de middelen om op heel korte tijd doelgerichte oplossingen te bieden voor de meest veeleisende settings en omgevingen. Het is een logisch gevolg dat we nu ook onze ervaring en mankracht inzetten om scholen, steden en bedrijven opnieuw toegankelijk te maken.”, zegt Mathias Kerckhof van Fast Forward. De bureaus geven hiermee opnieuw een sterk signaal dat de eventsector al werkend uit deze crisis wil geraken.
Meer dan honderd Box Wash™® units worden de komende dagen geplaatst in verschillende scholen in onder meer Lommel, Hoboken en Antwerpen. Ook in kustgemeenten, die zich stilaan voorbereiden op de terugkeer van tweedeverblijvers, zullen de wasbakken op openbare plaatsen staan.
