From Saturday, March 14, visits to psychiatric hospitals were banned. Patients were also no longer allowed to leave campus. A heavy blow to a vulnerable group that was already struggling. Psychiatric Center Sint-Hieronymus did not give up and started looking for possibilities to organize visits for its clients. They ended up at Veldeman from Bree, specialized in the rental and sale of tents and temporary structures. Veldeman designed 2 visiting units for the Psychiatric Center Sint-Hieronymus. Both units were fitted with a partition so that the space could be divided into 2 hermetically sealed parts. The spaces have been beautifully decorated so that visits can take place in a pleasant setting. A third unit will serve as a waiting area for the visitors. "The first visitors will be received today. For organizational reasons, we will start with 1 visit per week per client. The units will be made available to a different department of the center every day. In this way we want to offer an extra service for protecting the well-being of our clients and at the same time protecting their physical health ", says Stefaan Baeten, general director of the Psychiatric Center Sint-Hieronymus. "In this corona crisis, we help organizations to create a safe environment for customers, visitors and staff. This ranges from reception and meeting units, to extra work or storage space for companies, to waiting and shopping areas for retail. We built several hospitals. With our tent structures and units, we always provide a total solution equipped with (emergency) doors, partition walls, disinfectants, furniture, electricity, lighting, ... "explains Andy Moors, CEO of Veldeman.
