Road book

You will receive a road book upon departure. The road book is drawn up according to the BOLLETJE–ARROW principle, the old fashion way. All drawings are based on straight line structures (see below) and are therefore not an exact representation of the actual situation. Please show respect for all road users & the highway code, the mapped route is mainly on small country roads, where many pedestrians, cyclists, children, etc. circulate. The message is to drive carefully and enjoy.

The coffee roaster

Chris Moreels is the manager and roaster of Buizerd & Saars. Coffee is in his genes. His grandfather 'Gaby' Van Herzeele, a grinder by profession, always kept his grandmother's steaming coffee pot on the Leuven stove, containing home-roasted coffee. The history surrounding the coffee pot undoubtedly played a role in his choice to become a coffee roaster.

It's a small one

artisanal coffee roaster where fresh coffee is central. Weighing, burning, packaging, ... everything is done completely manually. This way there is always control over the color, smell and the entire roasting process. Chris also works with traders who pay the coffee farmers a fair price or directly with the coffee farmer.

Unlike most coffee roasters, Chris works exclusively with single origin coffee and arabica beans. As with wine, the taste may fluctuate slightly from harvest to harvest, but the main profile is retained.
