In times where cyber security is the greatest concern for companies, government agencies, hospitals and organizations, DB Video resolutely plays the card of security. Recent figures show that about 60 percent of companies are confronted with cybercrime. Safe data management - and policy are therefore indispensable. Broadcast and video production companies come into contact with this on a daily basis. "Of course we already treated all data according to strict standards, clear procedures and clear working agreements, but by obtaining this certification, everything has now received an official and internationally recognized quality mark, an extra trump card in our growth story," says DB Video.

It should come as no surprise that DB Video - as the first and only (event) broadcast - and video producer in Belgium - officially obtained the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certificate and thus joins the exclusive group of companies with this data security guarantee. By fully focusing on innovation and renewal and by continuously taking into account the needs of a society - and companies - in full lockdown, DB Video has grown considerably in recent years. The company, which has been in existence for 25 years this year, realizes – with 48 employees and numerous freelancers – no fewer than 2,500 productions per year, 40 percent of which are broadcast and 60 percent for the web and events.

“We are extremely proud to have achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification,” said Dimitri Beyaert, founder and CEO of DB VIDEO. “It is proof of our commitment to delivering the highest quality to our customers. The implementation of security measures seems self-evident. But it requires a thorough and secure working method from every employee. This certificate is therefore an important recognition of the hard work and dedication of our entire team and motivates us to continuously improve our standards of quality and customer service. It really is an extra asset vis-à-vis large and institutional players as well as smaller organisations, which will further support our strong growth story.”

The ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certificate basically describes the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continuously improving an information security management system within the context of the organization. With this certificate, DB Video immediately demonstrates to their clients and other stakeholders that the company – for each of the 3 brands, DB Video | MOTCHA and Webble-Up - uses a certified and secure information security process and that data of clients, visitors and participants is secured at all times according to the requirements of these international standards. Whether it concerns an event, broadcast, streaming service or video recording.

Invest in innovation

During the full corona period, Webble-Up - DB's hybrid streaming platform - expanded rapidly. With that growth spurt, pressing questions also arose about the guarantee of data security. “No better guarantee than officially achieving the ISO 27001:2013 standard,” says the DB VIDEO team. They put their money where their mouth was and worked for a year and a half to officially guarantee all processes, documents and data processing of the highest security. The company does not want to sit back now that the certificate has been obtained, but is determined to maintain these high standards and to continue to innovate to provide customers with the best possible and safe service.

As a leading company in Belgium, DB VIDEO now offers a range of different services such as live event streaming, broadcast, studio recordings and post-production. The company has built a strong reputation for providing high-quality audiovisual solutions to customers across a variety of industries, corporate, media, government and non-profit organizations. The customer portfolio includes NATO, the Flemish Parliament, European Parliament, European Space Agency, Amazon, BNP Paribas Fortis, Mediafin, etc.

“Information security is of great importance to guarantee the day-to-day continuity of an organization and to protect, handle and guarantee confidential personal or company data. In addition, customers, governments or other stakeholders are increasingly asking or demanding that information be secured against data leaks or other external threats.” Mikis Goos, IT Innovation manager DB Video
