The Oude Synagoge in Raalte is a small, characterful venue for gatherings where atmosphere and personal attention take centre stage. The former synagogue building dates back to 1889 and retains its historic details. The intimate space and good acoustics make it a fitting place for occasions that benefit from a personal setting.

Organisers can hire the venue for a wedding ceremony, concert or performance, talk or workshop, among other events. The space can accommodate around 50 guests at most. Other special milestones in a relationship can also be celebrated here. For a wedding ceremony, support can be provided if desired, including a marriage celebrant, photographer, decorations and a toast for the newlyweds. The arrangements are agreed in consultation and tailored to the group's wishes.

The venue also offers practical options for a workshop or talk. A projector and whiteboard are available, and refreshments can be part of the event. The intimate scale lends itself to interaction between the speaker and participants, while concerts and performances benefit from the venue's distinctive acoustics.

The Oude Synagoge is particularly suitable for organisers looking for an intimate, peaceful setting for a ceremony, cultural gathering or workshop. Get in touch to discuss your preferred layout, the options available and practical arrangements.
