Brown Grand Theatre

Brown Grand Theatre is a historic performing arts venue in Concordia, Kansas, available to hire for a range of private and public events. Built in 1907, the opera house gives organisers a distinctive setting for weddings, performances, dance and piano recitals, concerts, church services, parties and catered suppers.

The main auditorium has 432 seats, with additional bench-style seating in the second balcony. Its stage measures 32 feet wide by 24 feet deep, and the building includes an orchestra pit, dressing rooms and grand pianos. Organisers can discuss the available theatre equipment and staffing arrangements when making a rental enquiry. The venue’s rental information sets out booking terms and separate guidance for wedding use, including arrangements for ceremonies and small receptions on stage.

The theatre’s historic interior provides a characterful backdrop for occasions that benefit from a traditional stage setting, while its performance facilities also suit groups presenting live shows, music, dance or community programmes. The main floor and stage are accessible, and the venue lists wheelchair-accessible seating and parking. Organisers should check access details for their guests, as the building does not have an elevator.

Based in downtown Concordia, Brown Grand Theatre is operated as a community performing arts centre and presents its own programme alongside rentals by businesses, organisations and individuals. Event planners can contact the theatre to discuss availability, rental requirements, equipment and the practical details of their event. Whether planning a wedding ceremony, a recital or a larger performance, organisers can make use of an established historic theatre with a substantial auditorium and dedicated stage facilities.
