Garrett Field Estancia

Garrett Field Estancia is a private event venue set across approximately 130 acres in Slidell, Louisiana, near New Orleans. Its grounds combine open countryside, woodland, historic buildings and a working polo field, offering event planners a choice of indoor and outdoor settings for weddings, celebrations, corporate gatherings, charitable events and group retreats.

The converted former aircraft hangar is now an open-air pavilion, with space for cocktail-style receptions of up to 250 people. For larger gatherings, it can be used alongside the polo field, which can accommodate events of up to 1,000 guests. Other settings include the tree-lined grounds, a sand arena, a courtyard and a barn with a loft. The loft can provide an intimate space for a rehearsal dinner or reception, while the main house is available for wedding preparations, photographs and overnight stays for up to seven people. The house itself is not used for ceremonies or receptions.

Couples can choose from several ceremony backdrops, including beneath mature oak trees, by the barn or at the tree-top chapel. The venue also welcomes private and professional events, as well as overnight or weekend group stays for retreats focused on relaxation, wellness or team activities. Horses, polo traditions and the property’s historic character give the estate a distinctive sense of place. Organisers can enquire with the venue about availability and arrangements for their event.
