Waveny House

Waveny House is a historic Tudor-style mansion set within the parkland of New Canaan, Connecticut. The venue offers indoor rooms and outdoor grounds for weddings, celebrations, meetings and community gatherings, with a setting that combines period architecture, gardens and open lawns.

The house can accommodate events of up to 160 people. Its ground floor includes the Grand Hall, Sitting Room, Dining Room and Breakfast Room, while the patio opens towards the surrounding lawns and gardens. Couples can arrange ceremonies in the house or outdoors, including in the gardens. The property also has spaces for receptions, engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners and fundraising events. Dedicated rooms are available for wedding-party preparations, and the grounds provide varied backdrops for photographs.

For meetings and other gatherings, the rooms can be configured to suit different occasions. The venue also hosts clubs, community organisations and local events. A commercial kitchen is available for event staff and caterers, giving organisers the option to bring in their own food service. Tables and chairs are available for use, while organisers should arrange items such as linens and glassware separately. On-site parking is available within Waveny Park, and the house has wheelchair-accessible ramps.

Waveny House is a venue rather than a full-service event organiser, so planners can shape their own programme and coordinate suppliers to suit their event. Contact the venue directly to discuss tours, arrangements and current date availability.
