The Forum

The Forum provides event spaces and a programme of live entertainment in Barrow-in-Furness. While its former theatre building is closed, the team is presenting shows at venues around the town and offering room hire at Barrow Town Hall. This makes the service relevant both to organisers looking for a bookable space and to audiences seeking theatre, comedy, music and family performances.

At Town Hall, the historic Banqueting Hall is promoted for events ranging from conferences to exhibitions. The venue also welcomes enquiries for weddings, parties, functions and corporate occasions. Organisers can discuss how the adaptable rooms might suit their event, along with technical support and catering arrangements. The building's formal civic character provides a distinctive setting for receptions, presentations and gatherings, while the room options can serve different event formats and guest requirements.

The Forum's programme includes live music, theatre, comedy, dance, family entertainment, cinema, exhibitions and talks. Its current schedule shows that activity is continuing at Barrow Town Hall while the original Forum remains closed. This ongoing programme offers local groups and visiting performers a route to present events in the area, while private and business organisers can enquire about hiring the available Town Hall spaces.

For event planners, The Forum is therefore both a local venue contact and a presenter of public performances. Its current room-hire offer is based at Town Hall on Duke Street, where organisers can make enquiries about the Banqueting Hall and other spaces for suitable private, community and professional events.
