Shaw & Crompton Royal British Legion

Shaw & Crompton Royal British Legion is a local branch of the Royal British Legion, based at Central Hall on Newtown Street in Shaw. The branch serves the wards of Shaw and Crompton and provides a community base for activities connected with the Legion and the local area.

Central Hall is also listed as a room available for hire, making it a practical option for organisers seeking a local indoor space for a gathering or community event. The hall was refurbished in 2020, and the branch has since had a committee in place. Its central Shaw location puts it within reach of local residents and community groups in Oldham.

The venue may suit organisers looking for a straightforward neighbourhood setting rather than a large dedicated conference or hospitality venue. Information available publicly does not set out room capacity, layout options, catering provision, equipment, prices or booking terms, so these details should be checked with the branch before planning an event. Contact the local team to ask about availability, access arrangements and what the hire includes.

As well as serving as a local Legion base, the premises are used in connection with activities and gatherings in the community. Whether you are arranging a meeting or another local occasion, Central Hall offers a Shaw-based space to consider. Please confirm that the room and any facilities meet your event's needs before making a booking.
