Middlesbrough Theatre

Middlesbrough Theatre is a traditional theatre venue in Linthorpe, Middlesbrough, available to hire for performances and productions. Its fixed auditorium seats nearly 500 people, making it a practical choice for touring shows, amateur companies, dance schools and performing arts groups looking for a professional setting for their audiences.

The theatre has a proscenium stage and in-house lighting and sound equipment. Organisers can discuss their production with the theatre's technical team, who can offer guidance on staging and the equipment available. Front of house staff support the audience experience, while backstage facilities include dressing rooms, a green room and a company office space. Additional equipment, including pianos, a projector and screen, follow spots and staging components, can be hired subject to availability.

Dance schools and performing arts groups can use the venue to present student productions, with support for practical aspects such as ticket sales and lighting. The theatre also welcomes professional and amateur productions in its own programme, which spans drama, musicals, comedy, music, dance, family shows and pantomime.

Located on The Avenue, Middlesbrough Theatre is accessible by public transport and has on-site parking, including accessible bays. Its established stage facilities, technical support and audience services make it a suitable venue for organisers seeking a fully equipped theatre rather than a blank-canvas event space. Hire enquiries can be discussed directly with the theatre management team.
