The Barn at Higher Beardon

The Barn at Higher Beardon is a rural wedding and events venue in Devon, set on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Its characterful barn and surrounding countryside provide a setting for weddings, receptions and other private or company celebrations, with the venue available for exclusive hire.

For weddings, the barn can host 30 to 120 guests for a ceremony and daytime reception, with space for evening celebrations of up to 300. Couples can make use of the adjoining lawn for an outdoor gathering, photographs or lawn games. The venue is not licensed for civil ceremonies, but celebrant-led ceremonies and blessings can be arranged. Wedding packages include tables and chairs, decorative details, use of the grounds, a staffed bar and support from an experienced wedding and events coordinator. Optional food and drink packages and additional finishing touches are also available.

The barn can also be booked for birthdays, christenings, celebrations of life, barn dances, corporate events and Christmas parties. An events coordinator helps organisers discuss the format and practical details of their occasion. For larger gatherings, organisers can enquire about adding a stretch tent.

On-site facilities include private parking, toilets and a staffed bar. The Farmer's Den, a self-contained apartment sleeping up to four people, offers a place to stay and space to get ready before a wedding. With flexible indoor and outdoor areas, rural views and event support, the venue is suited to organisers looking for a distinctive countryside setting for a celebration or gathering.
