UMSL Event Operations
- 17, Office Arnold Grobman Dr, Saint Louis 63121, USA
UMSL Event Operations helps organisers find and reserve event spaces across the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus. The range includes the Millennium Student Center, the Touhill Performing Arts Center, the Recreation and Wellness Center, the Mark Twain Athletic Center and other designated locations. External organisations can submit a request, after which the team reviews the event and venue requirements and prepares an initial cost estimate. Use of campus facilities is subject to university policies and approval, so organisers should confirm that their event is eligible before making plans.
Spaces suit a variety of formats, including meetings, seminars, conferences, receptions, banquets, fairs and performances. At the Millennium Student Center, flexible rooms can be arranged in different layouts, with larger rooms accommodating up to 350 people in theatre style. The centre also offers a private third-floor reception area. The Touhill provides three performance spaces, from a 1,600-seat hall to smaller theatres suitable for more intimate productions or gatherings. At the Mark Twain Athletic Center, organisers can enquire about facilities such as courts, fields, classrooms, balconies and the swimming pool. The Recreation and Wellness Center has courts, studios, a climbing wall, a pool, meeting rooms and lobby space.
Event Operations can help identify suitable campus locations and explain reservation procedures and available support. Depending on the space and event, equipment such as projectors, sound systems and staging may be available. External bookings require a formal request and are reviewed for alignment with university priorities. Organisers should allow time for the approval, agreement and insurance requirements, and check details directly with the team before finalising an event.
