Bennett Barn

Bennett Barn is a countryside venue near Brookings, South Dakota, offering a distinctive setting for weddings, receptions, family reunions, live music and other celebrations. The venue centres on a restored barn dating from 1938, with indoor spaces arranged across the main floor and an upstairs loft. The loft includes a dance floor, while the main barn and adjoining covered lean-to can accommodate guests, seating and entertainment. The lean-to can be opened to the outdoors or enclosed with adjustable coverings, giving organisers flexibility when planning around the weather.

For outdoor occasions, the property includes a patio with seating and a bar, open grassy areas and a tree-lined section that can provide a backdrop for ceremonies. Couples can choose a setting on the grounds for their ceremony and use the barn for the reception and dancing. The venue also welcomes organisers planning non-wedding gatherings, from reunions to parties and live music events.

Rental features include tables and black folding chairs, staff assistance, an audio system with a wireless microphone, televisions, Wi-Fi and bar facilities. Refrigerators are available for event use, and the outdoor bar has keg-cooling connections. The grounds provide guest parking, while a private restroom area includes accessible facilities and a hand-washing station. Organisers can make use of the venue's different indoor and outdoor areas to shape an event around their guest list and plans. Contact Bennett Barn to discuss availability and arrangements.
