The Cow Shed Crail

The Cow Shed Crail is a family-run event venue on a working farm near the coastal village of Crail in Fife. Set in a converted farm steading, it combines rustic character, open countryside and views towards the sea with flexible spaces that organisers can shape around their plans. Weddings are a particular focus, and the venue also welcomes parties and corporate events.

The venue includes a steading marquee, barn, workshop and Roundal, alongside a courtyard, patio and lawn. These indoor and outdoor areas can be used in different combinations, making it possible to hold a ceremony in one space, welcome guests outside for drinks, then move to another area for dining and dancing. The marquee can seat up to 200 guests, while smaller configurations are available for more intimate celebrations. The venue is also offered for exclusive use, and operates in both summer and winter.

Venue hire includes three days of access for set-up and the day after, lighting, heating, electricity, toilets, parking and a service area with power and running water that can be useful for caterers. Catering, bar service, furniture, tableware and decorations are not included, giving organisers the freedom to choose their own suppliers. The venue can provide recommendations and practical planning information, including layout guidance.

Accommodation is available in nearby farmhouses and cottages, with options for groups of different sizes. Together, the event spaces and local places to stay can help couples and organisers plan a celebration that extends beyond the main event day.
