Espace René Pourny is a large municipal venue for events in Pontarlier, in the Haut-Doubs. Its rectangular 1,126 m² hall can be set up for a range of formats, from performances and conferences to exhibitions, meals and banquets. Capacity varies according to the layout: up to 2,800 people for a seated or standing performance, 1,100 people for an exhibition, 1,000 guests for a meal or banquet, and 450 seated places for a tea dance.
This versatility allows community organisers to find a space suited to large-scale events, whether a performance, a public meeting, a trade fair or a gathering with catering. The Town describes the venue as a congress and performance centre, making it a local option for events that need a large hall rather than a small meeting space.
The venue can be hired by associations, but not by private individuals. Organisers interested in hiring it can contact the cultural department of the Town of Pontarlier for availability and booking details. Please note that hiring the hall and the performance programme are handled separately and require separate contacts. Located on Place René Pourny, the venue offers associations a large-capacity municipal space for cultural and public events.
