The Sablewood at Highview Springs

The Sablewood at Highview Springs is a private event venue on a 120-acre farm in Schoharie, in New York's Catskill region. Its main offering is weddings, with selected corporate events also accepted on midweek dates. The venue hosts one event per day, giving organisers and guests private use of the property.

The site brings together a restored 1870s timber barn, known as the Sablewood, and a newer white barn called the Charlington. The Grand Room is set up for dining and dancing, while adjoining barn spaces provide room for cocktails and gathering. The Charlington accommodates ceremonies or indoor cocktail receptions. Couples can also choose from outdoor locations including a garden ceremony circle, a covered veranda and a hilltop pond setting with mountain views. Indoor barns are climate controlled, and covered and outdoor areas provide alternative settings in different weather. The venue's spaces can accommodate events of around 25 to 175 guests, depending on the layout.

Venue hire includes use of the spaces and furnishings, preparation suites, parking, and support from an on-site team. Staff assist with furniture arrangements, vendor and guest direction, basic décor setup, ceremony rehearsal and venue logistics on the day. The team can also help organisers consider floor plans and vendor recommendations. Catering is arranged separately through the venue's approved caterers, and other external suppliers, such as photographers, florists and music providers, are booked separately. Full wedding planning and overnight accommodation are not included.

The property is suited to couples seeking a countryside barn setting with indoor and outdoor options, as well as organisers considering a limited midweek corporate event. Tours are available by appointment.
