The Knowlton LLC

The Knowlton is a waterfront event venue in Bridgeport, Connecticut, set within a restored 1883 factory on the Pequonnock River. Its three indoor spaces offer different settings and can be hired individually or combined for larger events. The Boathouse is the largest, with an expansive event floor, high exposed trusses, a catering support kitchen and a deck overlooking the river. It can accommodate up to 350 guests seated or 500 for a cocktail-style gathering. The Wilder Gallery offers a bright, open room with tall windows and space for up to 125 seated guests. For smaller gatherings, the art-lined Armstrong Gallery seats up to 86.

The venue welcomes weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, corporate events, fundraisers, galas, Sweet 16s and other social celebrations. Couples and event planners can also explore outdoor options, including a waterfront lawn in the mural park and the Boathouse deck. Availability and access to outdoor areas depend on the spaces booked, so planners can discuss their preferred layout with the venue team.

House tables, chairs, cocktail tables and coat racks are included with rentals. The connected galleries and Boathouse allow a programme to move between rooms, for example from a ceremony or reception into dinner and dancing. On-site parking is available, and the location is accessible from major local roads and Bridgeport train station. The Knowlton also houses artist studios and a mural park, giving the venue a distinctive arts setting for celebrations and business events. Event enquiries can be made directly to the venue, with event production and AV services managed by Nicholson Events.
