Haus der Vereine is located in the historic centre of Darmstadt-Eberstadt and serves as a meeting place for clubs and event organisers. The City of Darmstadt manages the venue's hire as a service provided by the local district administration. This makes the venue suitable for organised gatherings and events held in a shared community space. The function rooms are used by local clubs as well as other users from time to time. For dates, hire terms and availability, it is advisable to contact the relevant district administration.

The building has a distinctive history: a brewery once stood on the site. The historic structure was converted for its current use as a club house. A preserved cool store recalls the site's former use as a brewery and gives the venue its distinctive character. There is also a beer garden behind the building, on the former brewery grounds, offering a place to spend time outdoors when the weather is suitable.

Haus der Vereine is not a conference centre specialising in particular types of event. Its focus is on shared use and the hire of rooms. Event planners should therefore check directly which function room is available for their occasion, and what equipment, capacity and catering options are offered. Its location in Eberstadt and historic character make the venue particularly suitable for organisers looking for a local meeting place with links to community clubs. The district administration is the official point of contact for information about hiring the venue.
