Stichting Akhnaton

Nieuwezijds Kolk 25, 1012 PV Amsterdam, Netherlands

Akhnaton is a club and event venue available for hire on Nieuwezijds Kolk, in the centre of Amsterdam. Organisers can host private parties, anniversaries and weddings here, as well as seminars, book launches and film or television shoots. The venue is also suitable for public club nights and performances.

The venue consists of five spaces and a kitchen. The club room can accommodate around 200 guests and has a stage, DJ booth, professional sound system, lighting installation and projectors. Next to it is a bar with space for around 50 people, which can also be used as an additional reception area for the club. In good weather, organisers can make use of the terrace overlooking the square, with room for around 100 guests. On the first floor, there is a mezzanine for around 50 people. An additional room can be used as a dressing room or as a separate meeting space, among other things.

The combination of different spaces makes it possible to run programme elements at the same time, for example, a party in the club room alongside a quieter reception or lounge area elsewhere. The available equipment and different layouts give organisers the flexibility to adapt the venue to their programme. Akhnaton is therefore particularly suited to those who want to organise their own event in a characterful urban club setting, with several spaces to choose from at one address.
