Anglesey Agricultural Society

Anglesey Agricultural Society offers its showground in Gwalchmai for hire by organisers looking for a flexible event site on Anglesey. The 136-acre grounds can accommodate a wide range of occasions, from gatherings that need indoor facilities to larger events making use of open fields. Organisers can contact the Society to discuss their plans and arrange a viewing of the site.

Facilities include several buildings with different uses. The purpose-built pavilion has a kitchen, meeting room and toilets, while a separate hall includes toilets and showers. A smaller pavilion also has a kitchen and toilets. Across the main fields, water and electricity are available, and the site has three-phase electricity for event requirements. Other facilities include parking fields, camping areas, a shearing shed and sheep pens.

This combination of indoor rooms and open ground gives planners options when shaping an event layout and deciding how guests, activities and facilities should be arranged. The Society invites enquiries about hiring the showground and its individual facilities, so organisers can explore what may suit their event rather than relying on a single fixed room format. Whether planning a community gathering, an outdoor event or a function that needs supporting indoor space, prospective hirers can discuss the practical arrangements directly with the Society. The venue is based near Gwalchmai, within reach of Holyhead and the wider Isle of Anglesey.
