Gut Alte Burg
- Van-Gils-Straße 6, 52428 Jülich, Germany
The concept gives organisers plenty of scope when planning: food, decorations and music can be chosen to suit their own preferences. A bar and service staff are available on site. The team can help find suitable suppliers on request. This makes it possible to tailor each celebration without being tied to particular providers.
The grounds include a terrace, a large courtyard with a covered area and an expansive meadow beside the historic motte. These outdoor areas offer space for receptions, humanist wedding ceremonies and outdoor activities. The event area is accessible at ground level and has a wheelchair-accessible toilet. Parking is available right by the venue, and coaches can also park on the grounds.
For guests who would like to stay after the celebration or during a multi-day conference, there is a hotel with eight twin rooms, which can also be used as single rooms. Breakfast is included in the accommodation. Gut Alte Burg therefore brings together event spaces, outdoor areas and accommodation in one place. Its location on the edge of the village offers a peaceful setting, while the Forschungszentrum railway stop is within walking distance.
